Export your payroll data from Reports, set the period and groups, make sure CSV is selected, then save the file ready to open in Excel or import into your payroll software.
Step 1: Open payroll export
- Open Realtime.
- On the left-hand menu, click Reports.
- Select Payroll Export from the list.
Step 2: Set the export parameters
A pop-up titled Export will appear. Complete each section:
- Export type: choose Weekly, Bi-weekly, Monthly or Monthly (Last Day), or tick Use Dates to set a custom date range.
- Payroll groups: tick all boxes to include everyone, or tick only the groups you are paying.
- Exclude leavers (under Personnel): tick this to leave out employees who have left but logged hours in the period. Untick it if you do want to pay them.
- Export format: make sure CSV is selected.
- Output file: choose where to save the file. A file browser will appear. Select your folder and filename.
Step 3: Export and open
- Once your settings are confirmed, click OK.
- The payroll data is exported and saved as a CSV file.
- Open it in Microsoft Excel or any spreadsheet program.
